2010 BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FOR AGES 9 AND UP
The registration deadline for 2010 summer baseball/softball has passed.  There is still room on Ashland based teams for a very few 12u girls and 10u boys.  All other teams are full and late registrations will be placed on Columbia teams for the coming season.
If you are unable to do the online registration or need to discuss a scholarship, please contact Kristi Savage-Clarke at 657-4211 or ksavageclarke@earthlink.net.  For parents with children under 9 (grades 2 and below) Please check the T-ball/Coach pitch page of this webiste.

The preferred method of registration is on-line.  Here is the direct link to register now.
https://www.manageyourleague.com/DCC/reregister.php?season=2013  Online registration allows the use of credit cards or checks for payemtn of player fees.  You must fully complete the registration process in order to register your player.  You are not done until you hit that finalize button.  When paying by check you will also need to print the invoice page to send in with the check.  If online registration is not possible for you, please contact Kristi Savage-Clarke for assistance.

If you had a player registered with Diamond Council in previous years, you can update your player or add a new player.  You can find your account by logging in with your password or by searching for your name.  It's important to be sure that both parents information is included and correct.  If your child waqs previously registered through Diamond Council, be sure to change the grade and shirt size for this season.  When your child is placed on a team, you will use your parent ID to log-in and see the team schedules and the team's mini web site.

Diamond Council League Descriptions:  The information below is current for the 2010 season.

A Division - Cost for those registering through Ashland Optimist $55 - 14 games: Children who register in the A division will be placed on teams with other Ashland players if at all possible*. Any parent/volunteer who plans to coach a team in the A Division, please select Head/Assistant coach when registering their child. Your league coordinator will contact you if you are selected.
Ashland Optimist Club does not sponsor players in the AA division.

*We try hard to place all players who register through Ashland Optimist on ashland based teams where coaches will have the option to hold practices in Ashland or hartsburg.  However, if there are not enough kids or coaches to fill out the team(s) in each age bracket players may need to be placed on Columbia teams.

Weekday evening (after 5 pm), and weekend afternoon/evening time slots will be assigned 1 per team until all teams are accommodated.  I can get you a second time slot if you want Sat. morning, or after school on a weekday.  After that point if there are openings, a second time slot may be assigned to teams that have requested one.  If you are not going to be using your time on specific dates due to games or other conflicts, please contact Kristi, so that she can temporarily assign that slot to another team.  If you have rained out a practice or just need more time, let her know and she will help if possible.  You can also contact other coaches to try and set up some sort of field sharing or scrimmage arrangement.  Play Hard, Play Fair, Have Fun!
